Timothy Y. Wong is Of Counsel with the firm of Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Minneapolis, practicing labor and employment law. Prior to his current role, he worked for 3M from 1994–2017, serving in several positions, including as Director of 3M’s charitable foundation (3Mgives), Associate General Counsel for Legal Affairs, Human Resources Director of Employee Relations, and Asia Pacific Legal Director (based in Hong Kong). Wong served on the Minnesota Board of Law Examiners from 2004–2008 and 2012–2020, and he has been on the Board of Trustees of the National Conference of Bar Examiners since 2015. He also served on NCBE’s Testing Task Force from January 2018 to January 2021. He received his BA from Northwestern University and his JD from the University of Minnesota Law School.
