Augustin “Augie” Rivera, Jr., is the General Counsel for the Del Mar Community College District in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he serves as a member of the President’s Executive Team. Rivera joined Del Mar College’s administration in 2015 after more than twenty-seven years of private practice in civil trial and appellate law. In 2011, Rivera was appointed by the Supreme Court of Texas to the Board of Law Examiners, and he was elected Chair of the Board in 2019. He was appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Conference of Bar Examiners in 2018 and has served on a number of NCBE committees. Rivera is a native and lifelong resident of South Texas; he received his BA from Yale University and his JD from Stanford Law School.
