Marilyn Wellington’s update on the NextGen bar exam is featured in the new issue of the Bar Examiner magazine, now available online. In this column, Wellington dives into NCBE’s history of bar exam development and identifies ways in which the new exam will represent an evolution from the current exam, plus key ways in which it will continue to support the important work of US courts and bar examiners.
A recording of the September webcast on the Content Scope and preliminary prototypes of the NextGen bar exam is still available on the NextGen website. Included in the on-demand rebroadcast are both Q&A sessions, recorded during the morning and afternoon presentation sessions. You can also review the preliminary Content Scope Outlines, which break out both the breadth and depth of exam topics that will be tested on the new exam.
